Mixed thoughts on that at the moment as the only real benefit it
provides is the ability to check out just websites/www on it's own,
although it is quite painful doing an initial checkout of the www
module at the moment given everything that is stored in there (a lot
of which I don't think should be like a lot of the download content)
so the pain of moving things around in CVS/subversion may well be
worth it.

So if someone can arrange it and do it with a minimum (preferrably no)
breakage then I don't have a problem with it.

However we would get some breakage I think as the web structure
mirrors the CVS one so we'd have to be sure to setup more redirects to
catch everything, also how would this effect mirrors?
