On suse70 installing the shipped KDE and KDE2(beta) and then installing the
official KDE2.0 (as rpms from suses website, get the suse70 rpms)

works like a charm.

on suse64 you need some minor hacking to get it to work (I forgot what I
did, I upped all boxen to suse70).

Keeping the old kde stuff on the system gives you acces to a bunch of old
KDE stuff that isnt available in the new one, but is rather nice to use.
