Hm, I don't quite see why that should be all that complicated. I'm doing
something like this on our Solaris network at work (albeit I'm just
providing the apps, not supporting KDE as a whole - but that shouldn't
make any difference). KDE is installed in a directory called
/cad/opt2/KDE, which in turn gets exported to all machines on our
subnet. Anybody interested in using stuff from those directories simply
has to add the necessary PATHs and things like KDEDIR and QTDIR to their
loginfiles (e.g. .cshrc for (t)csh) and off they go. All their personal
configs are stored in their home directories anyway.
Or did I miss something here?
