A close look will say that bug fixing went very sustained on KDE-1.X. We
wait now for icons and themes to be finished. I think we should not be too
concerned about time frames. Better have a very well done release.

Huh? Where did you come with this from? Oh! Sorry, you said this is not
food, or fud, or whatever :-> . Anyways, we should be careful with this
kind of affirmations. KDE-2.0 looks very well right now. I use it
permanently. There are a few rough edges, imposed by the massive use of
CORBA, but the permanent developers are doing marvels. KOM/OP and styles
as very well functioning already. And are stable.

KDE-1.2 will play the role of *the* desktop for the next 6 months, maybe.
But a KDE-2.0 beta will almost surely be available this year. In fact, I
believe I don't err too much if I say KDE-1.89 isn't yet released just
because we need to get KDE-1.2 out first.
