The card I use is an Creative Ensonique AudioPCI...which is a P-N-Pray card and
it works very well (except for the 3D enhancements). If the sound was built as a
module......you are loading the module before attempting to use the card
..right? What kernel are you using? Version 2.2.X and above may have built-in
support for your card, thereby eliminating the need for OSS drivers.
