Hi,

	I recently tried to compile several k apps, including kplot and
khostchooser and others.  I do this by running configure, which seems to
get through fine until it dies by reporting that giflib23 is missing.  It
tells me I need to install kdesupport, which I installed in RPM format, and
does not contain any file called giflib or libgif or such.  Where can I get
giflib23?

	I also attempted to compile KPackView (just plain make), which got some
direct compilation errors, like using a method that's not applicable to the
class it's being used on.  Anyone else gotten these errors?  Has any one
else compiled this code under RH5.2/KDE1.1?
