Hi,

I have KDE 1.0 installed on a RH 5.1 system.  I installed it by getting
all the sources and compiling them myself.

KDE starts up nicely and everything seems to work, except for setting
the desktop background.  I go into the desktop app. and select the
background tab.  When I select a bitmap or a color it shows nicely in
the small sample window, but never gets applied to the real desktop.

Any help in getting this working would be appreciated.
