There are indeed many paths to ... enlightenment.

if you want to see this finished i can think of four paths:

  1) the Open Source path: do it yourself
  2) the social engineering path: convince someone else they should do
it
  3) the capitlist path: sponser a develop to do it
  4) the armchair enthusiast path: continue to talk about it until
someone 
else does 1, 2 or 3

and yes, i'm feeling a little cynical today. *sigh*
