Where I live all the people use MSN Messenger, so I'm not interested in Gaim
or other IM clientes. I just want to know why is so difficult por a MSN
Messenger user to use Kopete.

Yes, you are right. In fact I have not experience in usability themes. My idea
was to do a document about Kopete issues comparing it with MSN Messenger
(that everybody uses without problems).

But I saw your "Amarok Usability Report" document and tried to do something
similar. Of course, it's requieres more time and experience so I have done a
very "amateur" document to tell my opinion and the opinion of newbie friends
using Kopete for the first time.

Yes, it's not an usability document in fact. It's more my opinion.

Yes, it could be great. Maybe in a month I'll try to do a better study
documenting all the issues of people using Kopete for the first time. I'll
try to do a document with the Celeste's guide:

Typical setup of a report:
**************************

- Intro about the project and usability study

- Executive summary

- For each: Usability Issue
        Description and severity of problem
Reasoning or justification for fixing ( includes references to
                theory/research)
        Recommended changes
                Screenshots (if possible)
                Developer implementation hings (if possible)

- Conclusion

- References

and I'll send you the document.

I need of course a guide for the study, maybe something like sit a newbie in
front of Kopete with webcam and ask him to:

- Configure him existing MSN account.
- Add a contact.
- Changing the group of the new contact.
- Chat with him.
- Send a file.
- Send video.
- Invite more people to the conversation.
- Disallow that contact.
- Change the satus.
- Change him photo and visible name.
- Add a jabber account.
- ...

(it's just a quick suggestion).

What do you think?

Thanks for your comment.
