This question, or similar, seems to come up pretty regularly. I think that this points to the 
need for a copy/backup facility for user data to be added to the user interface. It may be easy 
enough for developers to work out what needs to be copied, but ordinary users usually won't have 
a clue unless they spend time delving into things, or ask on a mailing list.

This is a usability issue which ought to be fixed, preferably in a coordinated way for the whole 
of kdepim (or even beyond...).
