It is true that there are 4 types of hand-orientations.  There are people 
that are hard left, hard right and there are people that can use both 
but have a preference for left or right.
All this can be found in the approriate research papers.

What we end up with is a largely unusable desktop (or at the least a very 
bad experience) for the hard left type of people.

I'll talk to the accessibility guys today on this subject to see what is 
going on in this area and how to attack it at  a basic level.
But your bugreports on those issues are more then appreciated!
