you'll find that most times when someone opens the kmenu they are looking for 
something specific, e.g. "a word processor"

and of course..... this input widget is a search item .. so. heh. either way.

context. putting it in the minicli doesn't make the kmenu easier to use, which 
is sort of what the patch author is trying to do.

3) those who are used to using it

i'm all for making minicli better. but that's a differnet topic to making the 
kmenu better.

we can ditch the kmenu, replace it with something that is painfully obvious to 
use, or somehow make what's there more accessible to people.

what we do elsewhere, e.g. in the minicli, doesn't really change that.
