Much smaller. And idea is in fact the same as existing "Shade" option for 
windows. Good idea, I mean.

"Ghost bar" might be initial default option, still with possibility to switch 
it off later if user wants to.  It would be for inexperienced users.

Sure!  Might be even more than two situations :)  Full hiding must still be 
possible.

Why not?  When user gets more used to environment and finds out how to disable 
the Ghost, he/she probably will be able to use this opton consciously.
