How about a short timeout, so that if you select on the quit button within 
0.1s of bringing up the menu, it's ignored. This handles the case where you 
meant to click to bring up the menu, but accidentally moved the moved the 
mouse just enough to select quit.

This issue annoys me, at least... I often accidentally exit application.
