Under this logic, there should still be the option in the KControl GUI to
enable hover-close buttons in Konqueror, because I used them and so did many
others. But the feature and option was deemed confusing and unneeded for the
majority of people, and removed from the GUI (still available via
KConfEditor). I am fine with that since I am an advanced user and can enable
it myself.

As everyone knows, KDE already has way too many options. Stuff for andvanced
tweaking like this doesn't belong in KControl, it belongs in KConfEditor.

Doing this is not saying that "we know better" or "this is the one true way",
it is saying that "this is the best way for most people, and we know you are
smart enough to change it via KConfEditor if you can't live with it".
