Here are a couple small cleanups I´ve thought about for the control center.

1.) I´ve noticed some work in HEAD on consolidating some of these dialogs into
the (new/updated) Password and User Account dialog. I think this is great,
and feel a few more should go in there with them. The first being Paths.
Current it is under System Administration on the control center, but also
under Configure Desktop by right clicking on the desktop. I really don´t
understand why it is in either location as its really not a system-type
configuration (its per-user, not systemwide) as well as its only partially
desktop related (yes you can change your desktop path their, as well as your
trash, autostart, and documents).

By moving it to the Password and User Account, you will not only remove one
more small dialog into a more meaningful (and easier to find) location, but
also remove an unneeded option under Configure Desktop. Just today I saw
David Faure add a wishlist of mine, which he added Size and Orientation (br
65878) to the Configure Desktop. Once again, remove Paths would make this
dialog less cluttered as well, and ¨allow room¨ for more appropriate dialogs.
I also think Multiple Desktops does not need to be a separate icon on the
left of the menu, but maybe a tab on the behavior dialog, or even a button.
I presume most people configure this vary rarely, and when they do, probably
use the right click on the pager applet to change it.

2.) Sticking with the Configure Desktop dialog, I think it would be best if
the order of the iconson the left are altered. My recommended ordering (with
the changes in part 1.) are

	Background
	Behavior
	Screensaver
	Size and Orientation

This not only puts things in order of (IMO) most commonly accessed, but also
since they are alphabetized, it may help as well with finding stuff quickly.

3.) For the KDE Components->File Mananger->Previews & Meta-Data Tab, I would
recommend breaking the ¨Select Protocols¨ listing into 2 listings side by
side, with a checkbox above each with the left one saying "Local Protocols"
and the right one saying "Internet Protocols" (similair to the Configure
Desktop->Behavior->Device Icons tab is setup, but with 2 like that side by
side.

Well thats all for now. Let me know if you all agree/disagree.

Sean Lynch
