Not necessarily. There may be reasons to treat hyphenated words like foo-bar 
as two single words.

Actually console only uses letters, plus a set of user configurable characters 
to be treated like letters. It's certainly easier to implement than to 
separate on every non-letter, and to make an exception for urls.
