try KGet ... it's a download manager that comes with KDE and it has an option 
for autosaving of downloads. it has a bunch of other handy features if you're 
into download manager...

btw, this list is for the discussion of usability improvements in KDE, not 
user support.... there is a kde users list that is perfect for these kinds of 
questions though =)
