Then the cervisia icon will disapear. > I would suggest that in new KDE releases this button is not included on > the > main toolbar by default, but the menu option in the View>View > Mode..>Cervisia > is retained, with the added option included somewhere (im fairly new to > KDE > so im not sure where you might put such an option) to place a button on > the > toolbar for software developers etc who actually use CVS. I have no problems with the toolbar button. It is only installed if you have the kdesdk module installed. > I would also suggest that if a directory is NOT a CVS directory then > Konqueror > should AUTOMATICALLY detect this and grey out the menu option/toolbar > button > for Cervisia so the user cannot select it - rather than allowing the user > to > select it and then flagging up an error message telling them they cant do > anything, which seems rather pointless. Correct. I can't agree more. I would like to add the context dialog to the menu option and toolbar to your suggestion of only showing them when a CVS directory is detected. There are additional comments on this bugreport: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=70495 from Christian Loose, cervisia developer: "If this is correct then there isn't much I can do, because: a) Konqueror decides where it shows the BrowserExtension KParts. So to move the entry to the action submenu, the Konqueror developers have to change the creation of the context menu. b) I don't think we will ever get a inode/cvs-directory mimetype, because it would have a big performance hit on the mimetype detection." So it seems the "CVS detection" means a performance hit :-( I would prefer if someone tell me it is doable (to detect if the directory is a repository or not), but if it is not, I would: 1) Keep the toolbar: if you don't want it, don't install cervisia. If you install cervisia, you should know what arepository is. 2) keep the menu item: same reasons 3) remove the context menu entry (more screenshots on the bug report), or move it to "actions" submenu.
