It's more about transparency than education. To be able to extract the 
exact command that was mean't to run can be extremely useful should 
something go wrong.

This is one of the strengths of Linux: because it's highly modular it's 
far, far easier to troubleshoot than Windows. Hiding things from the 
user isn't always bad, making things completely inaccessible is (a bit 
like how root is allowed to: "rm -rf /".. 99,99% of the userbase might 
not want to do this, but there's always someone who will).
