Why use directories when "talking about the inner workings of the
filesystem"? Do you mean that we should use the text string "directory" when querying
the user? Such as, "Please enter the location of the Ghostscript install
directory"? If so, I still think the word "folder" should be used.

What are we trying to achieve by having 2 words for the same concept? From
my point of view (admitedly by no means a usability expert), I think we should
*just* use "folder" - and *never* directory. (I'd have to check my own code
to make sure that I've stuck to this...)
