All preview applications should have for example a very big button which opens 
a dialog to select an "edit application" from a list. If this is standardised 
through freedesktop.org also non KDE applications can use the KDE dialog for 
this and another environement can have such dialog for KDE apps. *If* this 
feature is there and supported in enough preview applications we could throw 
the baby out with the bath water IMO ;)
