Don't mind me, as I am just your average KDE user.

It seems to me the control center should only contain things you cannot find
anywhere else (sound system control, global look and feel options, and the
yet-to-be-invented network device control).

If you start ramming every-freaking app dialog in there, you might as well put
the app in there as well. The only time I use the configuration dialog for an
app is when I have the application open and I can see the results of me
changing an option. Putting configuration options for each app in the control
center is useless (well, to me at least).

I agree that I haven't more then glanced at the cdbakeoven or konqueror config
dialogs in the control center, for reasons discussed earlier. I do however
believe some things should be taken out of the the control center and be
turned into stand alone apps, like the digital camera installer etc. Things
that don't change configuration options, but instead write brand new
configurations, should be relegated to

kmenu->Can't think of a clever name->Wayward app

My .25 cents.
