That looks very interesting. I particularly like the idea of the frontend
using XML to describe the configuration to be passed to the backend allowing
easy archival of configurations and thus easy undo.
How GNOME-specific is the backend and the connection between the frontend and
backend? Could we write Qt/KDE frontends that use to the backends written by
GNOME?
