Regarding the new Crystal icons (set to be the default in KDE 3.1, correct?)

Am I the only one that is really annoyed at the angled icons on the toolbars
and KMenu items? Many times, these icons are very hard to make out and make
it harder to find the right application. I just put on the latest Crystal,
and my wife (who has used 3 diff. icons themes) totally can't make alot of
the items out.

I really think that KDE should use flat icons for sizes 24x24 and below. The
angled (I'm sure there is an official name for that type) icons just don't
work well on toolbars and such. They look REALLY nice when using large
icons, but I fear that most people won't have the real estate to do that. I
really think that flat icons work alot better for toolbars and actions and
such.

I think it is especially important that this new icon theme and style be as
beautiful and CLEAN (and, in particular COMPLETE!!!!) as possible. Also, I
am interested in what others think about having Keramik make the CLOSE icons
[X] have a red background to denote a negative action (get rid of this, I do
NOT want this window anymore, etc.). Other window decorations do this and I
have found it makes alot of sense to users. (maybe turn it red only on
hover??)

Just wanted to share those thoughts.

Chris
