Now that's one ugly baby ;)

May I suggest using different background colors for each 'list' within Kmenu, 
with the title having a slightly more solid color.

I recently was amazed how much add color can benefit the user experience. Just 
try one of the aqua window decorations for a while (yes, the window 
decorations _lacking_ a drawn indication of what the buttons do).
