i can write a usability report on this one in september. i've thought quite a
bit about what needs to occur here. a co-conspirator and coding buddy would
be more than welcome

i'm looking at two things for KMail in 3.2, one of which is usability related
(well, they both are, but one is more of a new feature than anything: RMB
menu actions in the search window). the usability related task is to deal
with how kmail handles attachments. it is in a horrid state right now with
multiple methods scattered all over with some parts missing functionality,
etc. this needs to be handled first before the config dialogs because it will
impact what happens in the config dialogs. you can put my name on the
responsible: line for this item since i plan on working on it and am familiar
w/the code base to boot.

you can also add TOM to the task list. no, i haven't forgotten about it or
left it behind. i'm just taking care of 3.1 issues for now.
