Hi Tom

did you set QTDIR?
If you are using the bash should you try a thing like

export QTDIR="/local/kde22/qt-2.3.0"

Than dont you need the --with-qt-dir* stuff.

Most of the apps? Does it mean, some applications compile with the 
flags above? Can you please post the last lines of config.log - they 
should tell you a bit more about the failed test.

(BTW the --with-qt-includes and --with-qt-libraries flags are IMO 
redundant)
