Subject:    [kde-solaris] KDE 3.1.4 installation problems

This is my first attempt to install KDE (on Solaris 8). I downloaded all
the required stuff (and more) for 3.1.4 according to the README.
Inside "startkde" I get errors such as

/opt/kde-3.1.4/bin/startkde: kreadconfig: command not found
/opt/kde-3.1.4/bin/startkde: ksplash: command not found
/opt/kde-3.1.4/bin/startkde: kreadconfig: command not foundopt/kde-3.1.4/bin/

Indeed I cannot find those files anyhwere inside /opt/kde-3.1.4 or elsewhere.

I also noticed that the 3.1.4 KDE_INSTALLATION_INSTRUCTIONS
are much shorter than earlier ones, which talk about pam module configuration,
/etc/inetd, /etc/services and so on. Are the 3.1.4 instructions just an
update, or is something missing?
