Solaris has a quite limited terminfo database with some erroneous entries
for newer terminals. What does konsole pretend to be?

Try installing a new database and set the TERMINFO environment variable
before running mc. Also, try playing around with the TERM variable
(xterm-color, xterm-xfree86, konsole(?) ).
