I have KDE 3.5.7 bits from kde-redhat testing. These appear to be packages
that updates has updated to 3.5.7 but kde-redhat still has at 3.5.6 (even
including the testing repo). My guess is they're fine.

Actually, it looks like the whole of kde is going to be updated via "updates"
for those (like me) who run "kde-redhat stable". Is that normal? I have
launched it from the laptop, waiting to see how it goes before doing the
workstation.

Than Ngo uploaded kde 3.5.7 packages for FC6 to fedora updates this past
Wednesday (according to the Fedora Updates mailing list). AFAIK, the
kde-redhat packaged bits of KDE 3.5.7 are still in testing. So if you don't
have testing enabled, the updates you see to KDE 3.5.7 are coming from
Fedora, and not kde-redhat. Now for Fedora 7, there's almost no difference
(as I understand things) between Fedora's KDE and kde-redhat's, but I'm not
sure that's true with FC6 (which I'm using).

Let's hope Rex chimes in and clarifies what's going on...

Regards,
Tim

Actually, the update just failed with loads of conflicts problems. I was on
tty1 and can't actually copy the list right now but will do tomorrow.

In Berly Settings Manager -> Visual Effects, the Wobbly Windows option
is checked, but the windows are not wobbling when moved.

In the basic tab, try exanding shiver and ensuring that it's on. Then Click on
the advanced tab and expand move, there you will need to experiment with the
type of windows that you want to wobble when you move the.

plus not starting network means the loopback interface isn't brought up,
that makes e.g. postfix start up failing.
