There was an arts update (1.5.6-2.fc6),
with changelog:
  - nuke boost references in .la files

but I still get the same error.

Am I missing something?
Rainer

Do you get the errors using anything *other* than Teamspeak?

You could try:
$ yum install arts-devel
as that is where the .la files now live.

Let's see if arts-1.5.6-3 helps:

%changelog
* Fri Jan 26 2007 Rex Dieter <rdieter[AT]fedoraproject.org> 8:1.5.6-3
- BR: jack-audio-connection-kit-devel
- include libartscbackend.la in main pkg (some legacy arts apps need it)

Thanx,

both ways work.
1.5.6-2.fc6 with devel package und the new 1.5.6-3 without devel are fine.
