Why KDE-RedHat? It looks like a prime candidate for fedora-extra?
I'd suggest you post a message in fedora-extras-list@redhat.com [1]

Temper, temper!
I was -just- suggesting he'll push the request upstream - nothing else.
Furthermore, I don't see any reasons why Kitchensync can't make it into
-extra as well.
I'm sure Rex will agree with me.

You may be running into clashes between 32bit and 64bit RPMs (it's an old
favourite). Try running:-
rpm -q --queryformat="%{NAME}-%{VERSION}-%{RELEASE}.%{ARCH} kdebase
Which will tell you what versions of kdebase is installed. I seem to recall
that by default the i386 libraries are installed along side the x86_64. In my
case I usually just rpm -e kdebase.i386 (and what ever depends on it) but I
have no need for 32bit compatibility, your requirements may be different.
Alternatively you could try enabling both the i386 and x86_64 kde-redhat repos
(this fix is detailed on the kde-redhat home page).
Regards,
Rob
