Subject: [kde-redhat-users] Problem accessing hidden shares in Konqueror
	remote places
Message: 1

I have noticed a problem with network folders in Konqueror's Remote Places. I
tried to create a WebFolder, the folder itself is a hidden share on a
Windows environment and therefore has a $ (dollar) sign at the end. However,
although the dollar sign appears in the .desktop file under
~/.kde/share/apps/remoteview:

[Desktop Entry]
Icon=package_network
Name=Hemkatalog
Type=Link
URL=webdavs://username@server.domain.com:443/folder/users$/username

when you access the URL via Konqueror, the address in the location bar comes
up as:

webdavs://username@server.domain.com:443/folder/users/username

I tried escaping the dollar sign (\), but this didn't help.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

-Paul.

Subject: [kde-redhat-users] Probelm with HAL after updating to 3.5.4
Message: 2

I am having a problem with HAL after upgrading to kde 3.5.4.
Automounting of usb pen drive was working perfectly before I upgraded
to 3.5.4 . But now it gives an error saying "feature only available
with hal".I am using centos 4.3 with rpmforge and kde-redhat
repositary. Several peole are having same problem and a bug report has
also been filled. It has been obeserved with some other distros also.
But nobody knows the solution. If its the problem with kde 3.5.4 , is
there any way to downgrade it to 3.5.3 .
