(IMO, this subject is off list.)

Use "ifconfig -a", to see also cards that are not up.

If I go into menu editor and re-arrange some items, or create a new one, then
click on the save icon at the top - the save dialog progress bar briefly
appears. Opening Kmenu, however, and the changes don't appear. I don't know
when this started as I haven't tried to edit my menus for awhile...

Anyone else seeing this?

Hi.
I've installed KDE 3.5.4 recently and after update KPat is not working
properly. When I choose FreeCell type of game it crashes without any notice.
All other games are working fine. The problem exists only with the FreeCell.
Anybody has this type of problem too??? Or maybe it's something within my Kde
profile. Operating system: FC5 with all the latest updates, kdegames version
kdegames-3.5.4-1.fc5, kdebase version kdebase-3.5.4-1.2.fc5.kde and kdelibs
version kdelibs-3.5.4-1.1.fc5.kde.

Bartek

Subject: [kde-redhat-users] FC5: kde-3.5.4 mounting/unmounting removables
	with dbus/hal
Message: 7

Hi all!

since upgrading my FC5(i686) system to kde-3.5.4 from stable, I have noted the
following change in the desktop mounting/unmounting behaviour:

My KDE is set to auto-mount any removable devices on the desktop and does so
with CD/DVD & USB media.
I used to eject CD/DVD media simply using the contextual menu(right-klick)
option 'eject' prvoiusly but that doesn't seem to work now.
I now have to choose the 'unmount' option first _and_then_ choose 'eject' to
get any mounted disc ejected.
With mounted USB sticks the contextual menu option 'remove safely' does not
trigger any action at all, but just pulling the stick out seems to umount it
properly.

Has anybody noticed the same?
Are these new features or new bugs in kde-3.5.4?

TIA

KDE (now) depends-on/uses /usr/sbkin/eject for the ejct operation, and I
*think* the version of eject on fc5 is buggy in that regard.
