This is hard to believe. Do you mean that anyone who upgrades from Red
Hat 3 to Red Hat 4 might lose some of their customized menus?
In any event, I can define the applnk-redhat as a legacy directory in
applications.menu, but only if I give the full direct spec, i.e.:
/root/.kde/share/applnk-redhat
If instead I use ~/.kde/share/applnk-redhat, that does not work. Any
ideas of how to make it work? Thanks. Mark

Dear All
How can I disable automount of CD/DVD media?
Thanks in advance,

More than might, I'm afraid.

Hi All
Has anyone successfully used the command
apt-get dist-upgrade
to upgrade lets say fc4 to fc5 or some such. I'm going to need to upgrade a
machine real soon and it would be better if I could do it remotely then up
close and personal with the cds.
Thanks in advance

Eli,
I have not done it with apt, but yum did work great for me after I got
rid of all the nrpms crap I had installed.
