Here was a comment to the KDE 4.8 Release story...

"Feed in KDE.org (Lag)
"Sorry for the slight off-topic. But there's a huge lag in the news
feed KDE.org. It takes many days for it to be up to date. KDE 4.8 was
released two days ago already and this story is still not visible
there. It would be great if this could be fixed."

The commenter was signed in. So it was a simple matter of sending him
a message behind the scenes thanking him for his help, and sending a
message to KDE sysadmins alerting them to the issue. The commenter
replied with thanks for personal attention. Much better outcome than
just a reply in the comment thread.

And that comment had nothing to do with Release 4.8, so it didn't
belong in the story comment thread. And it would have been odd in the
KDE Forum too.
