I also think that "Get your part of KDE." is a bit strange given that 
KDE is the community. "Become a part of KDE" or "Be a part of KDE" does 
feel better.

W.r.t. "a special gift for the first few members" what about making a 
puzzle of the KDE logo and giving one piece, probably numbered on the 
backside, to each of the first few members. (I think this idea was 
mentioned before already; so, this isn't really my idea, but I still 
like it. :-) )
