Well folks I have been analyzing the structure of the KDE community and
noticed that we are sinning in a point that to me is basic: Ambassadors.
When I say this I refer to certain groups, divided by countries to manage a
blog / site.
Particularly the site of Brazil KDE IMHO is nothing more than an American
translation of KDE, and this is bad.
I propose that we form groups to start working on it, I myself propose to be
part of the Brazilian team. If the case does suggest that the members
themselves pay for hosting (which face it is not very expensive) and KDE
(the body) can help with anything would be very interesting.
The site that these would be addressed?
All over KDE, KDE included SC, we could have tips, articles, one thing that
I think would be simply fantastic display some of the 'backstage' for KDE
development SC, because not everyone is aware of this list and it would be
interesting people know how we work, how we relate.
I also suggest that these groups of ambassadors have free access to events
related to KDE, so we can make a 'conference printed ", ie covering the
event from him.
Logical that the entity for that KDE would have to bear part of the cost of
travel and expenses, but I think in the long-term return would be great.
I also believe that like everything in life is spoken in relation to costs
was the group of a country feel the desire to cover their own expenses he
would have total freedom to do so.
I believe that deep change of the naming of KDE was to reflect the most
serious / business / community and commitment to this idea would be IMHO a
chance to realize this thought.
