Is there any reason this could not be automated ? Why can't we create a program to do \
a series of test ? Start program and check that a window is created etc. do a series \
of tests that can verify that a modified KDE is still a working KDE desktop with all \
expected features available SOMEWHERE.

Then packagers can do their stuff, run the test-suite, get a list of results, modify \
their themes/packages/settings to fix any problems and actually QA their own stuff \
with minimal effort - and that means WE don't spend hours for each distro doing what \
they SHOULD be doing for them - but we do reduce the burden to the point where it's \
easy for them to ensure their QA actually checks the RIGHT things and that every KDE4 \
distro at least has a certain set of baseline stuff working.

Thoughts ? I would be happy to contribute some time to a project like this as I can \
see it's real value.
