Ahoy,
I'm off today until Thursday, so can somebody else write a draft of the 3.5.4 press \
release over the next few days? PLEASE read this carefully \
first:http://www.spreadkde.org/handbook/release_promotion Look at previous press \
releases for a template. The first paragraph should very neatly sum up what is NEW. \
Then there should be a list of the most interesting new things, followed by a \
paragraph explaining a little more and perhaps a quote. Here are the interesting \
snippets we've put together so far:- Improved removable device support (can now mount \
all HAL devices and edit how it will be done, using Kulow's merged media:/ kioslave \
branch)- Speed optimisations in konsole and kate- Multiple holidays can now start on \
the same date- Lots of fixes in Konqueror's HTML engine, KHTML- KFind can search for \
files that are larger than 2GB- KNetworkconf now supports Fedora Core 5 It would \
still be really good if somebody could dig out some translation statistics, but if \
not then the above should be a good starting point. They may need rewording to make \
them clearer, more accurate and more interesting :) Anway, I'm off now so tata.
Regards,Tom
