With KDE 3.4.2, I still get us, even today.

Maybe it depends on the web browser?

I just did some quick testing: Searching for "m" with Firefox returns 
Mozilla.org. With Safari, you get Mac.com for "m", and for "i" itunes.com, 
even tough it is http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx for any 
browser on Windows.
