there are solutions for that (OOo, for example) and there is much more to 
koffice than KWord and KSpread. try not to fixate on those two apps so much.

and how many companies don't do much or any data interchange with other 
companies that isn't covered by web and PDF? a lot.

errrrrr... nobody said koffice would become the center of kde promotion, just 
that we shouldn't hide it under the rug.

most people need more than a photo app and a music app. not like this is an 
either/or situation. we can promote amarok, digikam, <insert list>, -and- 
koffice.
