very nice =)
some feedback/comments:
"The biggest innovations will probably be"
"Some of the biggest KDE4 innovations include:"
or something that isn't so final ... we don't know what other innovations
there may well be...
"But does that mean that KDE 3.5 is dead, that users cannot expect
innovations? No! KDE 3.5 is very alive, more alive than any other KDE-release
has ever been."
this implies that one has reason to worry that 3.5 is dead =) instead, perhaps
just address the issue as a positive instead:
"While KDE4 represents the exciting future, KDE 3.5 is still experiencing very
active developments and is proving to be more alive than any other KDE
release in the past."
"when a KDE-release entered feature and stringfreeze"
not sure who the audience here is, but "stringfreeze" is a bit technical and
certainly jargon.
"The time until KDE 4.0 is very long"
it would be wise not to emphasize this in such vague terms. "very long" can
mean "so long it's a failure already" to some people; when managing
expectations it's important to give either firm constraints or proper shaping
to the ideas. for instance:
"Since the KDE 4.0 development cycle will take longer than typical due to the
scope of the changes and improvements being undertaken, the developers want
KDE 3.5.x to be the best possible KDE for users in the meantime."
