1. I think Kolab's award should be listed. It's not part of KDE, but it's made
by the KDE community, and it's certainly as KDE as a groupware server can be.
2. TUX 2005 Readers' Choice Awards
(http://www.tuxmagazine.com/node/1000151)
Favorite Desktop Environment: KDE
Favorite Digital Photo Management Tool: digiKam
And since I've noticed that the awards page also mentions second and third
places:
Favorite Web Browser 2nd place: Konqueror
Favorite Email Client 2nd place: KMail
Favorite Communications Tool 2nd place: Kopete
Favorite Productivity Suite 2nd place: KOffice
Favorite Music Player 2nd place: amaroK
Favorite Media Player 2nd place: Kaffeine
Favorite Text Editor 2nd place: KWrite
Favorite Text Editor 3rd place: Kate
(too bad they've split them, otherwise we'd have a winner)
3. Linux Journal 2005 Readers' Choice Awards
Favorite Desktop Environment: KDE
runner ups:
Favorite Audio Tool 2nd place: amaroK
Favorite Development Tool 2nd place: KDevelop
Favorite Instant Messaging Client 2nd place: Kopete
Favorite Media Player 3rd place: Kaffeine
Favorite Office Program 2nd place: Kontact
Favorite Text Editor 2nd place: Kate
Favorite Web Browser 2nd place: Konqueror
I've skipped kde-more-or-less-related things such as qtopia, scribus, skype,
'cooking with linux' or C++ ;-)
