I think it's a great idea! User story of the week/month, application of the 
month, ... It probably wouldn't hurt to have some pointers about what the 
story should/could include to help the author and to render it even more 
useful for KDE promotion.

The amount of time necessary for reading, selecting etc. the story submissions 
will be dependend on the number of submissions. Personally, I would like the 
user story of the month concept, with the three best stories or so receiving 
a prize. This would also give some time for translations, which could be 
published at the same time.
