I think the problem with marketing of previous versions of KOffice was that 
the quality of the different components was very variable between KPresenter 
at one hand of the spectrum and Karbon at the other. Some people had great 
expectations and were disappointed with bugs and flaws. 

I think KOffice should be divided (marketing wise) by the developers in a 
triple category :
A) Compatible (feature, format, stability) with the Windows contrepart
B) Compatible (feature, can read Windows files, stability) with the Windows 
contrepart
C) Work in progress

I have not tried yet KOffice 1.4 maybe everything today is nice and smooth....
