JDS is a suse system with gnome and some java desktop. And of course they 
didn't rewrite yast ;-) 
I always find it astonishing how much noise they manage to make of this simple 
setup. I guess we should learn from their marketing... 
And if you look at the difference of their and our marketing, than I'd say the 
following:
- KDE talks a lot about technical details and features
- SUN talks in a simple manner about characteristics and architectures. They 
don't even necessarily talk about Suse and Gnome being the base of their 
product.
