I am not sure if us addressing SuSE people could change anything since:

*  SuSE knows exactly about the quality of KDE and the reasons why
   users prefer it over other way of organizing their desktop.

*  If SuSE had whished to ask Novell (or make them sign something
   on this) ragarding to continuation of KDE's role in the Distro
   they surely would have done so.

*  The fact that Novell told the world "Yes, we will still support KDE
   on SuSE. However, "(...) to me shows that either SuSE was not
   successful in trying to open Novell's eyes - or that SuSE did not
   even try.

*  So asking SuSE /now/ would be just a vaste of time - at least IMhO.
