from today on the knoppix list ...

Whole point of this modular system is to save effort doing
things more than once (base module), while having a collection
of specialised main modules that run the place. throw in
	personalized mini-modules, a high-speed mirror, a whole list of
idea's and enough coffee, and you get a nice starting project that
might just have a future :)

Sounds similar, eh? Take a look at www.morphix.org.

This is a great idea. I didn't know you could pre-print blank CD's with logos
and a nice graphic. Why not just sell these for a little bit above cost so
this is a self-funding thing instead of relying on donations? (Maybe get a
donation to kick it off ...)

If these cost $2.00 each (for b/w), I would definately buy a few. I think it
looks much more professional to have a printed logo than using a home
labelling kit. However, if I'm paying for it, then the label should be
"pure" KDE.

Along these lines, I think that menu items on the CD should _not_ be
application names; for example kBear or arson. In general, it is simpler to
use human interface terms, such as "Copy CD", "JukeBox", "Letters" or
"Budgets."

There are conflicting aims--some what a CD that co-workers can use to do
distributed compiling and others want something that will make a CEO's pupils
dilate and others want something for the rank newbie.

Maybe morphix.org is the answer.

Mark
